Design Associate

Job Overview:  A Coton Colors Design Associate is responsible for ALL things creative at Coton Colors, whether it’s designing the newest product line, creating a display fixture mock and analyzing it’s effectiveness, building an installation for our Flagship Stores’ window displays, styling a photoshoot, or creating the specifications of a product for production and following through with quality control and sample inventory. It is absolutely vital that the Design Associate is a forward thinker with great attention to detail, strong discernment, and takes initiative in all he/she does.


Job functions generally include but are not limited to:

  • Participate as a member of the Design Team to design and develop products that are original, on brand, and in keeping with the company’s mission statement
  • Assist in creating art or design concepts that are needed from various departments when directed
  • Lead the various steps of the Product Development Department from the brainstorm/concept design stage, to the specification stage, and finally the quality control process and sample inventory and storage process
  • Research, develop, and implement new merchandising initiatives to implement for all product collections on all brand outlets and initiate the update year after year
  • Coordinate and execute the design of all temporary and permanent booth layouts/li>
  • Lead the efforts to upkeep the brand visual aesthetic of the Corporate Office and Design Center and Flagship Stores
  • Coordinates, styles, and executes all photoshoots including shopping for unique props, setting scenes, and bringing the Coton Colors products to life through photography efforts

Graphic Designer

Job Overview: Graphic Designer will work within the Design Department in creation of all corporate collateral pieces (any pieces that are printed, posted, emailed, etc.) including but not limited to: marketing materials, print and online campaigns, social media, website design and layout, multiple catalogs and other selling collateral supporting shows, retail and wholesale. Graphic Designer will aid in research for most cost effective avenues of printing/shipping needs. Graphics Designer will ensure all corporate collateral is in compliance of Brand Identity Guide and Visual Style Guides.

Job Functions
include but are not limited to:
  • Work within Design Department to lead the design and delivery of creative:
    • Website design and online design support (graphics/current information)
    • Email campaign support
    • In-store point of purchase and display layouts
    • Sales tools (flyers/vinyl decals/selling boards/take-aways)
    • Corporate branding (email signatures/business cards/document creation)
    • Catalog and Magazine Design (product layout, page design layout, product clipping)
    • Write and gather print specs/quotes and follow through ordering collateral
  • Assists as needed with photography processing and edits.
  • Lead the coordination and organization of the tracking process for collateral, ensuring all pieces move through the correct review and approval process and the deadlines are met.
  • Lead the execution, training, and compliance of corporate reference tools of the Brand Identity Guides, Visual Style Guides.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Graphic Design
  • Solid design portfolio

Tallahassee Flagship Store Retail Store Associate

POSITION: Retail Store Associate
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
LOCATION: Tallahassee, FL

JOB OVERVIEW: Support and maintain the integrity of Coton Colors through exceptional customer service, maximizing sales and assisting in store operations needs.

JOB FUNCTIONS include but not limited to:

  • Engage the customer through product awareness and selling
  • Treat all Coton Colors customers and employees with respect and maintain a positive work environment
  • Drive store results through add on selling and conversation that meet the customer’s wants and needs
  • Help to maintain a clean, organized and inviting environment for the customer
  • Maintain an organized stock area
  • Accurately process transactions in a professional manner utilizing the POS system
  • Comply with all established company policies and procedures

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • High school graduate
  • Prior retail experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional sales skills
  • Polite and professional
  • Self-starting & self-motivated
  • Proactive, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store

Atlanta Flagship Store Assistant Store Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Assistant Store Manager

REPORTS TO: Store Manager

LOCATION: Atlanta, Georgia

Job Overview: Assistant Store Manager or as we like to call them our “celebration leaders” are responsible for selling products at the newest Coton Colors Flagship Store in Atlanta, Georgia. This position entails personalization, merchandising and exemplary customer service. This position is available at our Atlanta, GA Flagship Store in Buckhead starting in November 2017.

 Job Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the management of the overall operation of the Atlanta Store
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and managing store employees
  • Maintain accurate information and inventory in the POS System
  • Track sales, store statistics, and store orders
  • Prep store for opening
  • Providing exemplary Customer Service
  • Meeting or exceeding assigned monthly goals
  • Assisting in ideas of merchandising of seasonal and everyday product (primary)
  • Assisting in maintaining the organization of the stock room, product organization, and replenishment (primary)
  • Fulfillment of personalization items – vinyl and embroidery
  • Providing exemplary Customer Service – meeting customer needs whether in store, over the phone, or through social media contact
  • Help execute all campaigns, including Social Media and In-Store Events (secondary)
  • Must be comfortable with weekend and seasonal hours
  • Comply with all established company policies and procedures

Education and Experience:

  • College degree

REPORTS TO: Store Manager

LOCATION: Atlanta, Georgia

JOB OVERVIEW: Retail Store Associates or as we like to call them our “celebration consultants” are responsible for selling products at the newest Coton Colors Flagship Store in Atlanta, Georgia. Associates will support and maintain the integrity of Coton Colors through exceptional customer service, maximizing sales and assisting in store operations needs. This position is available at our Atlanta, GA Flagship Store in Buckhead starting in November 2017.

JOB FUNCTIONS include but not limited to:

  • Engage the customer through product awareness and selling
  • Awareness of the Coton Colors brand and be able to articulate this to customers
  • Providing exemplary Customer Service – meeting customer needs whether in store, over the phone, or through social media contact
  • Drive store results through add on selling and conversation that meet the customer’s wants and needs
  • Help maintain a clean, organized and inviting environment for the customer
  • Maintain an organized stock area
  • Accurately process transactions in a professional manner utilizing the POS system
  • Comply with all established company policies and procedures
  • Must be comfortable helping to facilitate in-store events
  • Ideal candidate will be creative and help Manager/Assoc Manager with keeping visuals current and stocked
